August 27, 2024 Who writes your online content, you or AI?
If you want to stand out in today's digital world, creating good content is more important than ever. Some of my LinkedIn connections post content every day with the most diverse stories and experiences.
Looking at myself, I'm quite jealous of that. I don't see myself as such a content creator and wouldn't know what I would want to talk about every day. There is such a thing as “the power of repetition”. I could tell you every day how great TwelveBricks is, but when does that power of repetition turn into “irritation about excess”? And how do you keep that a little interesting with every message?
Nowadays you quickly end up with AI. You create some content and ask AI to come up with variations on it. Then you can post a message every day. Super efficient because it saves a lot of time, but I still don't have a good feeling about it. Maybe these are the words of an "old man", but I still want to have more control so that my content is authentic and suits me.
Now I have to be honest, before I started this post I first had it made by AI. Quite nice but it didn't feel like me. That's why I copied elements from the AI message, but typed each letter here myself. I also think it should be a mix of both. AI can be a source of inspiration, but you have to make sure that your content is really yours. That your personality, norms and values are reflected in it.
Does TwelveBricks do anything with AI?
Of course we see the benefits of AI as a supporting tool. For example, for generating alt texts from images. But not at the moment to fill an entire website based on a prompt. Creating content is human work, for the personal touch and to achieve optimal results in SEO and accessibility.
