I am from the generation that still watches linear television. No streaming, but look at what's on offer at a certain time.

I have also made it a sport to see as little commercials as possible, so every time commercials start I start zapping. Those channels know this too and that is why they all show those commercial breaks at the same time.

Sometimes I watch a program again. Then you can flush the uninteresting parts. Just not the most uninteresting part: the commercials.

Lately, when watching commercials for new cars I am often surprised (read: bothered) by how the prices of those cars are stated. For example: "Now starting at € 48.785,-". As if it were a bargain. 
 
What kind of convenience is this for advertisers, as if everyone can afford it? If I already had 50K in the bank, I would know of many more fun things to do than buy a car.

I was thinking what an advertisement would look like if you were to promote building a new website in that way. 
 
The advertisers put a group of people together under a
large canvas but you cannot see who is underneath it. Then you hear exciting music and a large fan starts blowing the curtain off the people. One by one the people emerge from under the cloth, cheering and dancing.

And then briefly, in small letters somewhere at the bottom of the screen, the disclaimer that the final costs may differ due to unforeseen circumstances and setbacks during development.
