No dad, it doesn't work like that anymore!

Today is the day that my daughter has been in the world for 14 years. She's a treasure, but also a treasure in the middle of puberty. If you have a teenager at home, you may recognize the moments I regularly have when I wonder: "Why are you making it so difficult for yourself?"

As a father I try to help her with solutions (you are a man or not). I've been through the same things, made the same mistakes. Somewhere in my 52 years of life experience there must be an experience with which issues can be resolved well. But yes, they are MY solutions and are therefore not always appreciated.

She: “I sent a message, but I still didn't get a response.”
Me: “Then just call and you will have your answer right away”
She: “No dad, it doesn't work that way anymore.”

Maybe she is right, times have indeed changed. And the changes continue at a breakneck pace. For a long time I built websites by starting more or less from scratch. Then came the content management systems, which made the management part of the websites immediately available.

We are currently in the transition to SaaS solutions. There are dozens of good platforms available for private individuals and sole proprietorships to quickly get a website up and running. For larger websites, with more specific wishes and requirements in terms of management, performance, findability and accessibility, there are fewer options.

Of TwelveBricks we fill that gap. Our platform is for web editors who are actively working on content, running campaigns and websites that receive many visitors. Our websites are fully accessible, extremely easy to find thanks to the latest technologies and always fast and available.

In an earlier post I said that I don't want AI to write my texts. This also applies to website content. AI-generated text is fine for inspiration, but you can't post it uncontrolled. On the other hand, the changes continue and AI integration will soon be available in our platform.

Who knows, maybe my daughter will eventually fill a website with content herself. I can already hear myself telling her that she would be better off writing texts herself when I see her starting up ChatGPT. And I already know how she will respond:

No dad, it doesn't work like that anymore!
